We are hiring a Staff Nurse for one of the best Nursing Homes in Co Waterford who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social, physical, and mental stimulation.
This position is open only to applicants who hold EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing, unrestricted right to work in Ireland.
Responsibilities Delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
Assessing residents' needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans.
Administering medications safely and accurately in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitoring, documenting, and responding promptly to any changes in residents' clinical condition.
Providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to healthcare assistants and care staff during shifts.
Promoting residents' independence, dignity, privacy, and overall quality of life.
Communicating effectively with residents, families, general practitioners, and the multidisciplinary team.
Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records and documentation.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and best practice standards.
Requirements Hold a Registered General Nurse qualification.
Must be an EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing, unrestricted right to work in Ireland.
Maintain active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge with a clear commitment to person-centred care.
Possess excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
Be fluent in spoken and written English.
