Senior Civil Engineer - LIMERICK
Role Overview
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to join our engineering team based in Limerick City Centre. The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of site infrastructure to support development, including water, drainage and road design with the support of the larger Dublin HQ team of engineers and technicians. They will also conduct site inspections in line with BCAR requirements and be a key point of contact for Clients and Contractors. Clients include private developers, University of Limerick, Limerick City and County Council, among others. The ideal applicant for this role will have the ability to work on their own, take responsibility for their work and nurture relationships with Clients and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from conception to completion in a professional and diligent manner
Design of SuDs features
Design of Foul and Watermain Systems to Uisce Eireann Code of Practice and Local Authority requirements
Design of roads to comply with TII legislation & DMURS
Prepare feasibility and planning stage reports including engineering services reports, flood risk assessments, etc. Develop responses to planning conditions to secure compliance.
Prepare tender and construction level designs and specifications.
Conduct BCAR inspections and work closely with Contractors throughout construction stages to address RFI's, submittals, etc. for a successful project outcome.
Attend design team/client meetings, participate in stakeholder engagement, and liaise with Local Authorities/Statutory Bodies on behalf of clients.
Collaborate with civil and structural teams on integrated multidisciplinary projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Honours Degree (Level 8+) in Civil Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) or ambition to achieve chartership in the near future.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2 years in an Irish consultancy.
Strong knowledge of water, drainage and road design standards from planning through construction.
Proficient in AutoCAD, drainage modelling software (InfoDrainage or similar) and road design software (Civil 3D desirable).
Full driving licence
