Job Title:Senior Delta V EngineerLocation:Sligo, IrelandContract:12 MonthsRate:€60 - €70 per hourOverviewWe are seeking aSenior Delta V Engineerfor a role that is100% onsite; however, there will be flexibility in the first couple of months to allowhybrid working, giving the worker time to find accommodation, withfull relocation expected within 1–2 months. The successful candidate will be responsible fordesigning, coding, and testing DeltaV software changesidentified during all stages of the project lifecycle, as well as working with a range of other automation-related systems such asPLCandDCS systemsand others. You will contribute totechnical strategyfor the execution of automated projects and review all work during thedesign, commissioning, and validation stages.ResponsibilitiesSignificant experience working with DeltaV distributed control systems .Experience with Emerson Process Management DeltaV Platform and Batch Processing .Ideally trained in the Emerson in-house DeltaV training house .At least 5 years' experience with automation systems administration, with knowledge in one or more of the following essential systems: Rockwell Factory Talk, DCS, OSI PI Historian, Syncade, Siemens .Knowledge of S88 .Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels, coupled with excellent organization and planning skills .Project management ability is essential in addition to problem solving.Ability to work independently and remotely with minimum direct supervision.Strong customer relationship management skills.Strong critical thinking skills.RequirementsCandidates must have a B.Sc. degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic, or automation discipline5 years' experience in industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, blue chip, or relevant GMP manufacturing environment .The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving skills.Candidates trained in-house on DeltaV with Emerson's dedicated DeltaV training centre will be given preference.Only candidates with a valid work visa for Ireland or an EU passport will be considered.To discuss this role in more detail, contactCornéat orfor a confidential discussion.
