Project Coordinator – SolarJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and motivated Project Coordinator – Solar to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of commercial solar projects by coordinating activities, maintaining documentation, and ensuring smooth communication across stakeholders. You will work closely with Project Managers and internal teams to help deliver projects on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of commercial solar projects from initiation through completion.Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of all project components.Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, schedules, drawings, and compliance documentation.Monitor milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management software, proactively identifying and resolving potential risks or delays.Prepare and distribute clear, professional communications such as project updates, reports, and meeting notes.Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, supporting cost control and timely delivery.Participate in site assessments and support the collection of technical data for project planning.Provide administrative and logistical support including scheduling, file management, and expense tracking.Assist with project invoicing, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.Support health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project activities.QualificationsBachelor's or Associate degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).1–2 years of experience in project coordination or administrative support, ideally within construction, renewable energy, or engineering.A basic understanding of commercial solar energy systems is a strong advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management tools such as Asana, Smartsheet,, or MS Project.Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Full clean driving licence.Preferred Skills (Not required but desirable)Experience with permitting, interconnection applications, or utility coordination.Familiarity with AutoCAD, solar design software (Helioscope, Aurora), or CRM platforms.Knowledge of jobsite safety practices, H&S.Why Join Us?At Start Solar, we are passionate about driving Ireland's transition to clean, renewable energy.
