The Galway Site at Ballybrit on the outskirts of Galway city has been part of Fannin Ltd since its acquisition in 2004 and operates a modern manufacturing and testing facility providing ready to use Microbiological media and supplying to the Clinical, Pharma and Food industries throughout the island of Ireland.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe principal duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:Assist in the manufacture of prepared microbiology media and the day to day running of media production and any associated tasks.Assemble and box media as per individual orders using ERP system.Transfer of packed/boxed media for storage to correct storage area according to required temperature range.Experience & ProfileThe successful candidate will ideally have:Knowledge of Cleanroom Manufacture and GMP would be desirable but not a necessary requirement as comprehensive onsite training will be given.Experience in Dispatch or Warehouse environments would be beneficial but not a necessary requirement as training will be provided onsite.The Successful Candidate Will Ideally BeFlexible, hardworking and enjoy working with people.Ability to produce results, prioritising objectives and scheduling work to make best use of time/resources.Ability to work well under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines.Benefits & Other InformationPensionAnnual Bonus*Life AssurancePlease note that all Vital Healthcare staff work within quality management systems and that all of the above will apply to the full Vital Healthcare product portfolio which includes products such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals and tissues.Although the above is a description of the requirements of your job, as stated in your contract of employment, you may be required to carry out other reasonable duties as the Company may require from time to time.Occasional requirements to work beyond normal working hours and to travel to other Fannin sites will be expected.You will be expected to attend internal & external training courses.
