We are urgently seeking a Endoscopy and Theatre Staff Nurse for our Hospital Client in Westmeath, Ireland.

* Staff Nurse - MIU
* Staff Nurse - Surgical
We also have Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) positions.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to surgical patients, prioritising safety, dignity, and comfort, while monitoring, assessing, and promptly escalating concerns.
* Assist with pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery, including administering medications, treatments, and providing patient education.
* Provide clear information and emotional support to patients and their families, involving them in care planning and discharge preparation.
* Work effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
* Adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and engage in audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
* Participate in continuous professional development, ward-based teaching, mentoring of students, and induction of new staff.
* Demonstrate the ability to manage clinical and administrative duties, maintaining accurate records and using electronic health systems effectively.
* Maintain live NMBI registration, be in good health, and of good character to ensure the ability to provide efficient and regular service.
* Possess a minimum of three years post-registration experience, including at least one year in surgical or acute care, with involvement in clinical audits or patient safety projects.
* Exhibit clinical excellence, sound judgment, effective communication, compassion, empathy, and promote teamwork, shared learning, and a positive ward culture.
Requirements
* Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland's Register of Nurses & Midwives
* Hold a minimum of three years of full-time experience following registration, or a total of three years of full-time experience following registration, of which one year must be in a specialty or related field.
* Possess the administrative and clinical skills necessary to carry out the duties of the position effectively
* Evidence of continuing professional development is required of candidates.
