Position: Director of Sales & MarketingSupervisor: VP of Sales & MarketingJob Description:The Director of Sales & Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening brand presence, and aligning sales and marketing strategies with overall business objectives. This position oversees the department, ensuring cohesive execution of initiatives that maximize market penetration and customer engagement.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with the strategic direction of the Sales & Marketing DepartmentIdentify sales targets, develop relationships and create new business opportunitiesDevelop and implement long-range sales and marketing strategies aligned with company goals.Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities.Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline; set quotas and monitor performance.Cultivate relationships with key clients and strategic partners to drive new business.Oversee creation and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional materials.Ensure brand consistency across all channels and campaignsEstablish and manage departmental budgets and forecasts.Analyze sales and marketing metrics to inform strategic adjustments.Lead, train, and mentor sales and marketing teams; conduct regular evaluations.Foster collaboration across departments including Product Development and Operations.Identify new revenue streams within existing customersCreation of competitive and persuasive sales / marketing materialsDesign and deliver high impact sales presentationsMaintain customer and prospect management programs (database/software)Ensure timely and effective communication with prospects and customers.Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to improve retention.Develop and manage departmental budgets and forecasts.Collaborate with Product Development and Operations to align sales strategies with company capabilities.Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build brand presence.Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.Solid writing and presentation skills with a high level of comfort and confidence in presenting to senior level executives.Strong experience building a pipeline, identifying and qualifying leads, and gaining new business.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Skills:Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Communication — Talking to others to convey information effectively.Coordination — Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others.Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.Negotiation — Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.Persuasion — Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Service Orientation — Actively looking for ways to help people.Social Perceptiveness — Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.Instructing — Teaching others how to do something.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.Ability to travel across the United States.Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles.Solid, documented track record of sourcing new business opportunitiesProven experience in developing creative, innovative and effective sales proposalsExperience in experiential marketing or industry-specific expertise (e.g., hospitality, technology).Familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
