Job Description
A dynamic and versatile role for an experienced Senior Project Editor is available in the educational publishing industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage own programmes within an expanding list of primary and post-primary titles, delivering print and digital content.
* Liaise with designers, proofreaders, illustrators, copyeditors, subject matter experts, and junior staff members associated with projects.
* Provide frequent updates on progress, identify risks, and suggest solutions for high-quality, highly designed titles with complex illustrations and diagrams.
Requirements
* Proven editorial experience within publishing, preferably in educational publishing, but relevant experience from other areas will be considered.
* Strong editorial skills, including the ability to recognise and develop clear, concise, well-written, and grammatically correct material.
* Solid project management experience within an editorial environment.
* Strong organisational skills and proven ability to multi-task.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
* An interest in design, digital learning experiences, and multimedia, as well as education.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Office and Word.
