We are currently recruiting a
Site Manager
for a permanent, full-time position in
Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland
.
You will be joining Duggan Brothers (Contractors) Ltd, a trusted name in Irish construction, with a strong track record in delivering high-profile, complex, and diverse construction projects.
Project Overview
This project involves the construction of a new 3,600m2, three-storey
Garda District Headquarters
on Dillon Street, Clonmel.
The development includes office accommodation, a custody suite, staff support facilities, and associated ancillary buildings, all delivered to modern operational standards.
Located on a brownfield site, the project requires careful coordination of construction activities, integration of building services, and compliance with security, safety, and sustainability requirements.
On completion, the facility will provide a high-quality working environment and serve as a key operational base for An Garda Síochána in the region.

Minimum experience required
: 5 years
Responsibilities include
Supervision of the construction on site
Management of all day-to-day onsite activity
Maintaining site diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities
Support the project manager in delivering the project to the highest of quality & completed on time, within budget
Manage and motivate site teams
Ensure work is carried out to the highest of standards
Implementation of our Safety Management System on site
Implementation of our Quality Management System on site
Suggest appropriate changes that will increase the overall efficiency of the building process without compromising Safety or Quality
Working to an agreed programme and planning future works to avoid delays
Plan, maintain and control the financial administration of all construction work to attain and maintain maximum cost effectiveness
Requisitioning materials required on site in time and to the correct specification
Attend various meetings to ensure the efficient communication of all issues that affect day to day running of the site
Organising daily whiteboard meetings
Requirements
5+ years site management experience
Hold relevant Construction, Engineering or Trades qualification
Demonstrated ability to see projects through from concept to completion
Previous Experience Working for a Main Contractor
Ability to work on own initiative
Self-motivated and hard worker
Analytical and decision-making skills
Technical and practical knowledge of the building industry important
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
