About Babylon

Babylon is an independent online media platform and community resource, based in Ireland, dedicated to providing guides and support for expatriates and immigrants worldwide. Additionally, Babylon offers music from around the world, hosts multicultural events, and more.

This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and build a fantastic portfolio. This is a minimum of 3 months. Babylon is committed to making it a valuable learning experience for you.

This is a hybrid position, and we are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements. Our office is in Smithfield, Dublin.

The Role

We're looking for an Event Manager who is organised, creative, and enthusiastic about connecting people. You will play a key role in the entire event management process, from brainstorming ideas to coordinating on the day of the event. This is a chance to apply your skills in a dynamic, multicultural environment and create memorable experiences for our community.

What You'll Do

* Plan and Organise Events: Assist in the planning and execution of Babylon's events, including cultural gatherings, live webinars, and workshops.
* Coordinate Logistics: Handle event logistics, such as venue booking, scheduling, and managing resources.
* Promote Events: Work with the marketing team to create and implement promotional strategies to attract attendees.
* Engage with the Community: Communicate with event partners, speakers, and attendees to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
* On-the-Day Management: Provide support on the day of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
