The Kingsley is recruiting for a Reservations Agent to join our experienced reservations department. We are looking for a passionate, driven and organised candidate to join our team.
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Agent will be the first point of contact for our guests. It is of utmost importance that the reservations department presents a friendly and professional manner at all times. As a Reservations Agent, you will act as the main point of contact for guest's bookings for bedrooms, dealing with queries and cross selling of our other properties.
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Greet all guest enquiries in a warm, efficient friendly manner;
Generate reservations information accurately, forwarding booking confirmation;
Maximise hotel revenue by upselling various hotel facilities while dealing with all reservation enquiries;
Contributes to maximum occupancy of the hotel by assisting in maintaining accurate inventory control for rooms;
Organise, prioritise, sort and direct incoming mail responding to all enquiries promptly;
Ensure all relevant special occasions, VIP information is noted on booking and communicated out to all departments;
Identify and record special billing instructions; approve credit;
Carry out pre-arrival courtesy calls to confirm forthcoming guest reservations;
Achieve maximum occupancy and average rate by utilising yield management.
Entering group rooming list ensuring blocks, party names lists and arrangements are updated correctly.
To encourage guest feedback and regularly monitor email reviews passing the relevant information to various departments.
Ensuring all Revinate upselling requests have been actioned.

Previous experience in a similar hotel environment
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility in day-to-day job demands
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Work well within a team environment and also be able to use own initiative
