OverviewA leading Irish Engineering Firm, headquartered in South Dublin, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team initially on a contract basis with a view to permanency. They are seeking a Qualified Accountant to oversee a wide range of financial, operational, and administrative functions. This pivotal role ensures the efficient running of the business and calls for a proactive professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a practical, hands-on mindset.ResponsibilitiesProduce monthly reports for our board of directorsWork with our project managers to ensure correct revenue recognitionCredit control and management of accounts receivable functionMaintain subconsultants registerManage subconsultants’ invoicesProject reporting to our project managers and directorsManage and prepare our UK payrollAssist our financial controller with quarterly forecastsAssist our financial controller with work-in-progress figuresReconcile P&L and B/S nominal ledger accountsSupport the production of fee invoices, credit notes and issuing to clientsManage the electronic filing and archiving of contracts and fee-related documentsAssist our financial controller with insurance renewalsManage intercompany accounting postingsCollaborate with our change management team to further enhance the efficiency of our finance departmentUndertake additional administrative tasks as requestedQualificationsACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with minimum 5 year's PQE experience.Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar finance roleKnowledge of VAT guidelinesExcellent IT skills, including MS Excel and SharePoint in particularStrong organisational and teamwork skillsStrong work ethicAbility to work on own initiative and to strict deadlinesFluency/high level of proficiency in spoken and written EnglishThis is a lovely opportunity to join a well-established growing organisation.If you are interested in the above or any other finance roles, please contact Yvonne Rafter Ph: 01 6797990 or e-mail: contracts@accountancysolutions.ie
