General Role:A Health Care Assistant provides personal care, support, and assistance or clients in various settings in community care, and private homes. The role is carried out under the supervision of a registered nurse and healthcare professional and focuses on promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.Personal healthcare: To bring kindness, patience, and empathy to their role, building a trusting relationship with the person they care for. Become an important part of the individual's support network, significantly contributing to their well-being and quality of life. Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining hygiene.Medication Management: Ensuring that medications are taken as prescribed, often helping to organize and administer them.Meal Preparation and Nutrition: Preparing meals and snacks that align with dietary requirements and promoting proper nutrition.Mobility Support: Helping with moving around the home, getting in and out of bed, or using mobility aids.Companionship: Providing emotional support, conversation, and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness. Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing the living space.
