AnEnvironmental, Health & Safety Specialistis required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client on a1-Year Contract basis.The successful candidate will provide Environmental, Health & Safety services to support world class manufacturing standards. Key tasks would include responsibility for keeping people free from danger, risk, or injury in the workplace and ensure compliance to EHS standards, Industrial Emission Directive (IED) license requirements and SHWW 2005 safety at work act.Develop and sustain EHS programs to minimize losses due to injuries, to improve housekeeping and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, energy, and water. They must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.THE ROLE:• Manage and report all environmental metrics monthly and complete environmental report (AER) & Environmental Performance Report (EPR) annually.• Ensure the site is compliant with all TT Standard work, ISO (14001, 45001, 50001), EPA & IED requirements.• Reduce the sites greenhouse gas emissions (energy, waste, water, volatile organic compounds losses etc.)• Provide Environmental support for the manufacturing of current and new products to world-class standards ensuring that products are built in the safest and most environmentally efficient manner.• Support with standard work relating to our chemical processes' particular focus on electric coating & waste water treatment processes.• Develop, implement & support Health and safety programs to reduce our Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIR) and Total Incident Rate (TRIR) to achieve world class standards.• Competence in Ergonomic essential & using various tools and methods for assessing ergonomic risks, such as observational techniques, questionnaires, and direct measurements. Ability to identify ergonomic issues and develop practical solutions that improve user experience and system efficiency.• Manage the site's Connect & Engage and ABC program's ensuring that all audits and corrective actions are completed on schedule• The candidate will have demonstrated a proven track record in EH&S management and execution, a strong focus on achieving results and ability to lead and deliver key projects through the A3 process.• A significant level of competency in EH&S is essential.REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor of Science (Environmental, Health & Safety), post graduate qualification desirable.• 2-3 years' experience working in a world class-manufacturing environment is preferred.• Ability to use statistical and graphical tools such as pareto analysis, A3's etc.• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, supervisors, and managers at the site level.• Must possess a strong work ethic, be a self-motivated learner and can prioritize and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing work environment.• Ability to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.• Proven record of accomplishment in Environmental, Health & Safety management and execution, a strong focus on achieving results and ability to lead and deliver key projects.
