Accredited Counsellors and Therapists provide short-term counselling services in primary care settings for medical card holders aged 18 years and over. The HSE National Counselling Service delivers this service in the Midlands region, specifically in Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, and Longford.
This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver trauma-informed counselling contracts to adult survivors of childhood trauma. Successful applicants will have the chance to work with clients who require specialized support.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess:
* A recognized Level 7 qualification in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health-related profession
* Either a degree or postgraduate qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, or a related field, or full accredited membership with one of the following: IACP, IABCP, or a relevant body within ICP
* A minimum of two years' relevant post-qualification experience
