Point of Care pharmacy operates a clinical pharmacy service dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care outside of the traditional hospital setting and in line with the community pharmacy sector.We can offer you:Monday to Friday rosterCompetitive RatesPension schemeRegular CPD training providedBike to Work SchemePSI fees paidFree parking onsiteSupport with an experienced, diverse teamOpportunity to grow and develop in your careerResponsibilities:To operate the Pharmacy in accordance with all the legal requirements pertaining to the professionDevelopment, updating policies and procedures in response to new business acquisitions or changing regulatory frameworksFollow agreed policies, procedures and safe practices in the workplace.Dealing with Point of Care patient and Client complaints, both formal and informalManagement of the Pharmacy Practice Assessment SystemClinically review all patient prescriptions for appropriateness and safety.Scheduling and Demand Planning of pharmacy services and Point of Care outpatient programsCold Chain Management and maintenance of GDPTo maintain excellent stock control, including rotation of stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels, using approved suppliers, and maintaining the prescribed inventory control databaseManaging the efficient running of the dispensary. Participate in/supervise the operation of the dispensary, and the procurement, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals and other related itemsEnsure accurate records relating to the procurement, storage, quality control, dispensing, distribution, and destructionAct on product defect, recall and caution notifications relating to medicinesTo ensure the smooth running of the dispensary, including maintaining computer records and ensure that the paperwork about the various programsManage the Point of Care/Uniphar Quality Management System (QMS),Maintain an appropriate Error Management system within the PharmacyTo ensure the highest standard of tidiness and dispensary hygiene and full compliance with all Health and Safety requirementsBe accountable for personal professional practice through regular engagement of continuing education and training to maintain a high level of competency in clinical pharmacyTo participate in meetings and conference calls as requestedRequirements:5 years post-qualification experience as a registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of IrelandPrevious Supervising/Managing Pharmacist and management experience is desirableStrong clinical skills: Hospital or Home-care pharmacy experience is advantageousAbility to balance the requirements of multiple projects and services within agreed timescalesProven ability to manage and work with a teamAttention to detail is essentialGood flexibility and commitment to working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary teamShould you wish to speak to our pharmacist recruitment specialist directly about this role or other positions,please reach out via email to
