Senior Culinary Manager
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Culinary Manager to lead our kitchen operations at a luxurious 4-star hotel in the picturesque countryside of County Carlow, just one hour from Dublin City.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the kitchen operations, leading by example in excellent food production, mentoring our skilled and ambitious culinary staff, and working closely with the Executive Head Chef to ensure seamless execution of menus and events.
* Support the kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Lead by example, demonstrating expertise in food preparation and presentation techniques.
* Mentor and develop the skills of our culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Work collaboratively with the Executive Head Chef to develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding budgeted targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the required standards before serving.
* Develop and implement menu concepts that showcase seasonal ingredients and innovative cuisine.
* Manage kitchen inventory, controlling costs and ensuring optimal stock levels.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Experience as a Senior Chef in hotels or similar establishments.
* Unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and service.
* Qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field is highly desirable but not essential.
* A passion for mentoring and developing others, with a track record of success in team leadership.
* Ability to build relationships and influence with all levels of the business.
