Leading manufacturing company in Wexford seeks CAD / Design Engineer to convert 2D drawings into accurate 3D models and production-ready files.
The Role: CAD / Design Engineering Expert
* Convert customer 2D (imperial) drawings into SolidWorks 3D models for product development and manufacturing.
* Create STEP files for efficient production processes and minimize errors.
* Develop GA drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and digital quality packs for seamless production.
* Build BOMs and production orders in SAP to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Update existing fabrication drawings to reflect changes and improvements.
* Deliver zero-defect engineering packages to meet tight turnaround times and exceed expectations.
The Ideal Candidate: Key Skills and Qualifications
* Possess strong skills in SolidWorks 3D modelling, including the ability to create complex models and assemblies.
* Able to interpret 2D AutoCAD drawings and translate them into 3D models efficiently.
* Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes is an advantage, enabling you to optimize designs and materials.
* Demonstrate high attention to detail and a strong revision-control discipline to ensure accuracy and precision.
* Show process-driven, organized approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Exhibit strong communication skills and an ownership mindset to drive results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
