Responsibilities of Assistant Site Manager Position
Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and maintaining profitability.
Help manage store operating costs and ensure efficient day‑to‑day operations.
Deliver and maintain high standards of customer service throughout the store.
Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed by the team.
Assist with stock management, ordering, and inventory control.
Monitor cash handling procedures and investigate any discrepancies when required.
Support the planning and implementation of promotions, displays, and in‑store events.
Contribute ideas to help drive sales and improve the customer experience.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members in partnership with HR.
Support staff performance management and help motivate the team to achieve store goals.
Requirements for Assistant Site Manager Position
At least 2 years of retail supervisory or management experience, ideally within convenience retail, supermarkets, fresh food, catering, or other customer‑focused environments.
Experience with stock control, inventory management, and ordering processes.
Familiarity with retail systems and the ability to interpret sales and stock data.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
Positive, proactive, and customer‑focused approach.
Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including occasional opening and closing duties.
