A key objective of a Mechanical Project Engineer is to ensure mechanical systems are delivered with quality, safety, and operational standards prior to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
* Systems Evaluation: Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and process systems.
* Documentation Management: Oversee the compilation and review of handover documentation including as-built drawings, equipment manuals, inspection reports, and compliance certifications.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project engineers, contractors, and operations teams to facilitate smooth communication and coordination regarding mechanical systems.
* Testing and Commissioning: Collaborate on testing and commissioning activities ensuring all mechanical systems are operationally ready.
A strong understanding of mechanical design standards codes and regulations is crucial for this role. Relevant experience in mechanical systems turnover project management or a similar role within the engineering or construction industry is also necessary.
