Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state-of-the-art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin.
The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the External Planning team.
The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring uninterrupted supply of medicines to patients worldwide, managing end-to-end supply chain activities.
The manager drives supply planning and delivery of products manufactured at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) in Europe, liaising with manufacturing, process development, and quality teams to ensure timely supply.
The role involves delivering the right quantity of supplies to the right location at the right time, optimizing inventory and costs, and managing supply risks.
The ideal candidate should have extensive supply chain experience, business acumen, and a drive to improve systems and processes in line with industry standards.
Key activities include:
* Production planning: master data creation, forecasting, demand and supply planning, SAP execution, purchase orders, invoice reviews.
* Raw Material Management: data creation, forecasting, procurement, issue management, invoicing.
* Logistics: scheduling, shipping readiness, coordination with shipping and receiving sites.
* Cross-functional collaboration: process optimization, risk management, compliance with GxP and internal procedures.
* Reporting and project participation: developing reports, presentations, and leading or supporting initiatives.
Autonomy in managing multiple projects, developing solutions, and advising leadership is expected.
The role acts within an Agile framework, leveraging relationships and digital tools to enhance performance and strategic decision-making.
Requirements include:
* Master’s in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain with 2+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s with 4+ years.
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech supply chain and GMP processes.
* Strong data analysis, collaboration, and influence skills.
* Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems like RapidResponse.
* Digital mindset, continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma), and ability to manage multiple projects.
Package: Minimum 12-month contract with potential extension.
