This role offers the chance to take ownership of key reserving models, support process automation, and deliver accurate and efficient financial insights. You'll play an integral role in developing methodologies, enhancing tools, and supporting monthly close activities, while collaborating with teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, enhance, and maintain reserving programs and methodologies, ensuring timely delivery for monthly close.
* Lead development, testing, and migration of new reserving program applications, including UAT and documentation.
* Maintain and enhance the Data Centralizer and deliver solutions to support partners and business growth.
* Define data and reporting requirements for new products, partners, and treaties, ensuring robust data quality controls.
* Perform regular audit and governance checks, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Data, IT, Finance, Operations) and external administrators to ensure smooth delivery.
Candidate Profile
* Part-qualified or qualified actuary with 2+ years of actuarial experience.
* Strong programming skills required; SAS/SQL preferred.
* Advanced Excel/VBA experience essential.
* Familiarity with reserving techniques (Bornhuetter-Ferguson, Chain Ladder, Mack) an advantage.
* Strong communication skills, organised, and a collaborative mindset.
