Overview
Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join Workday Security Architecture. Workday uses the latest software development and cloud technologies to build platforms and application services while protecting Workday data and infrastructure. The Security Architecture team partners with development and engineering teams to protect Workday's application services, infrastructure, and data, enabling rapid secure software deployment and supporting Workday’s AI strategy.
Responsibilities
* Embed secure-by-design and secure-by-default into technologies, including supporting threat modeling activities across the Workday development community
* Critically assess the security of system architectures and suggest improvements and controls
* Foster a positive security attitude among development teams you partner with
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
* Continuously stay abreast of security threats, including AI-specific threats, that may impact Workday
About You
Basic Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in Application Security, Software Engineering, or Public Cloud Platform Engineering
* Proven ability to conduct security assessments using various methodologies such as code reviews, threat modeling, system analysis, etc.
* Experience with public cloud technologies, automation and cloud-native applications; GCP and/or AWS preferred
* Deep understanding of security concepts/methods/protocols in areas such as authentication, authorization, RBAC, encryption and penetration testing
* A desire to build lasting relationships and bridge between security and development teams
Other Qualifications
* Ability to progress programs of work across various internal teams
* Practical knowledge of enterprise application software development and developer workflows with skills in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Scala, Go, Rust, Python)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in developing, deploying, and supporting security-specific solutions including automation of repeatable security tasks and controls
