Due to continued growth and expansion, the company is now seeking to recruit a Development Permitting & Consents Manager
Location:
Hybrid working model – Work from Astatine's offices located in Guinness Enterprise Centre, Dublin 8 when required, or from client sites.

Key Responsibilities
1. Permitting & Consents Management
Take responsibility for the management of the following permits and consents, including preparation and management of relevant stakeholders and suppliers, (supported by engineering team)
o Planning permissions
o Grid applications.
o CRU licences
Prepare, submit, and track all permit applications and associated documentation, ensuring that all required reports and studies are completed on time.
(environmental impact etc)
Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:
Develop and manage a comprehensive permitting strategy for projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including environmental, planning and safety regulations.
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws or legislations pertaining to permitting and consents required for Astatine projects.
Represent Astatine on industry working groups.
Serve as the main point of contact for all permitting and compliance issues.
2. Stakeholder & External Relationships
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and external regulatory agencies.
• Risk Management – identify potential risks related to permitting, including delays, non-compliance, or legal challenges.
Work with the legal team to manage any disputes or compliance issues.
4.Project Development & Technical Support
Assist in the identification, analysis, design, costing, project management and ongoing optimisation of energy projects/technologies
Designing solar farms, including layout, mounting systems, cabling, and specifications for inverters and transformers.
Conducting site visits and preparing design documentation utilising CAD tools.
Conducting site visits and preparing and assisting with design documentation to ensure compliance with planning .
Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the technologies and solutions provided by the organisation.
5.Land Sourcing & Commercial Support
Support and assistance with land sourcing, liaising with land agents, assessing, and identifying lands for renewable energy development, supporting commercial team with landowner negotiations.
Research and become familiar with industrial site licences (example COMAH, EPA, EU ETS, etc) and the constraints and interactions of same with energy projects and energy projectsents.
Prepare planning and consenting due diligence reviews on any potential acquisitions.
6. Financial & Grant Management
• Assist with financial budgeting for Astatines planning pipeline.
• Support the engineering and commercial teams with grant and subsidy applications for energy projects, including project mgmt.

Qualifications
–
5+ years relevant experience preferably with a planning / consenting / energy /
Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in
the best interests of the company or client.
Strong Experience in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD/BIM
applications.
Excellent organisational and project planning skills
Recognised accredited qualification in Environmental, Planning, Engineering or
related field.
Detailed knowledge of the Irish planning system, relevant submission timelines and
appeals process.
Previous experience preparing, reviewing, interpreting and analysing environmental
studies required as part of a planning application.
Knowledge of the EPA licencing process is advantageous.
Understanding the ESB and Eirgrid grid application windows and application process.
Understanding option and land lease requirements.
Experience managing Consents for renewable energy projects.
Strong technical understanding of renewable energy infrastructure.
Experience across all stages of the Consents management process (project initiation,
pre-application consultation, consent delivery, transition to project delivery

Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Proven self-starter and self-motivated.
Valid Full Driver's License.
