Chief Operating Officer/Managing DirectorAs Managing Director / COO for Osborne Recruitment, you will be based in Ireland and will report directly to the CEO with responsibility for building, developing, leading and delivering growth in Ireland and Internationally. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Osborne, leading, and driving Recruitment Excellence in all locations across the recruitment, marketing & sales, client services and support teams to achieve the strategic goals and business growth in line with our ambitious 2028 Growth Strategy.As Managing Director, you will champion a culture based on our values, team high performance, professionalism, delivering solutions focused recruitment excellence to our customers and a customer-first mindset. Working with and reporting directly to the CEO and Owner, this is a newly created role that offers a unique opportunity. You will champion recruitment excellence and nothing less than 5-star customer service.As this is a new role created within the Osborne Group, the role will evolve in line with the Company Growth Strategy.Roles & Responsibilities:Recruitment and Sales Strategy Development:Lead, execute and deliver the Osborne Growth Strategy across all functions with the Leadership and Management team.Continuously review and update the recruitment, sales and client services strategy to adapt to changing market conditions, workforce trends and client requirements.Implement recruitment strategies to increase fill ratios and optimise recruitment efficiency across the group.Develop our international sales strategy in line with the company strategy.Leadership, Development and Performance Management:Inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing recruitment, sales, client services and support teams across the group.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.Collaborate with the HR & Recruitment teams to develop leading-edge Osborne recruitment training programs to enhance the team's capabilities.Define and track key performance metrics and recruitment KPIs to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.Recruitment:Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing, attracting and screening candidates to conducting interviews and negotiating offers with key clients whilst developing and implementing improvements across the group.Review and develop the candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.Design bespoke tailored client recruitment solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients.Implement leading edge modern assessment methods to evaluate candidates' skills, cultural fit, and potential for growth within the organisation.Partnerships and Collaboration:Develop Osborne partnerships and relationships with strategic bodies and business networks e.g., Government bodies, IDA, EI, Chambers of Commerce, Colleges, Universities and County Councils.Develop relationships with existing and new clients, attend weekly onsite client meetings to develop client relationships and solutions.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their hiring needs and align recruitment strategies with the overall business objectives.Recruitment Methodologies and Technology:Stay updated with the latest recruitment methodologies, tools, and AI globally.Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise the recruitment process using innovative technologies.Stay ahead of modern methodologies and recruitment trends to ensure Osborne remains at the forefront of the industry.Osborne Culture and Values:Live, breath and champion our strong values of Excellence, Growth, Integrity, Collaboration and Care.Promote the Osborne brand and reputation both internally and externally.Lead by example, and act as a positive role model for our culture and behaviours.Develop, coach and mentor a strong team of recruitment, sales and client service professionals, focused on high performance, professionalism, recruitment excellence, and a customer-first mindset.Employer Branding:Develop and promote Osborne's employer brand to attract high-calibre candidates.Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling employer branding materials and leverage social media platforms.Implement strategies to showcase Osborne as an employer of choice.Diversity and Inclusion:Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process, striving for a workforce that reflects a broad range of backgrounds and perspectives.Implement strategies to attract diverse talent and foster an inclusive work environment.Metrics and Reporting:Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure recruitment effectiveness.Provide regular reports and data-driven insights to the leadership team and CEO to track progress, recruitment performance, market trends, and identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.Compliance and Legal Adherence:Ensure recruitment practices adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a fair and ethical hiring process in Ireland and internationally.Ad hoc Duties:In addition to the outlined responsibilities and qualifications, it is important to acknowledge that the MD role may involve ad hoc duties as the role evolves.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Recruitment, Business Administration, or a related field essential. Master’s desirable.10 years + recruitment consultancy experience highly desirable, with Irish and International experience highly desirable. Similar B2B & B2C industries will also be considered with turnovers in excess of €25 million per annum.Reputable proven track record in delivering growth and team high performance within the recruitment industry with Turnovers in excess of €25 million, and with a deep understanding of Recruitment Client Solutions and Services across Contingent, Temporary Staffing, MSS and MSP etc.Proven experience as a senior-level recruitment professional or similar role with a successful track record of recruiting high-quality talent.Proven track record in leading business scale up through strategic organic growth and / or mergers and acquisitions.Demonstrated experience in developing and executing effective recruitment strategies.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and drive high-performing teams.Proven experience in leading and developing recruitment professionals at all levels.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients and candidates.Deep understanding of talent acquisition trends, recruitment technologies, and best practices.Familiarity with diversity and inclusion initiatives and a commitment to promoting an inclusive work environment with core values aligned to Osbornes Values.Ambitious individual with an analytical mindset and with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and improve recruitment processes and efficiencies.Up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations.Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering recruitment excellence and adhering to ethical standards.Passion for recruitment and recruitment excellence.Strong knowledge in and expertise in modern and traditional recruitment methodologies, technologies, strategies, AI and client solutionsProficient in MS Office / 365.Why Join Osborne?At Osborne, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
