Key dimensions of the role:

Manage & develop sales within existing key customers across the Ireland region. Activities with customers outside the assigned region are possible where the account responsibility involves multinational customers.


This role is responsible for:

* Establishing a robust, multi-level rapport with existing customers to raise entry barriers to competitors and identify opportunities to increase business.
* Preparing targeted commercial proposals to maximize profitability, presenting them effectively, and ensuring comprehensive follow-up.
* Organizing and running multi-functional meetings with customers and internal project teams to manage and develop customer accounts.
* Negotiating with customers to maximize positive impact on Smurfit Westrock’s business.
* Preparing and maintaining internal sales systems, including forecasting and key account planning tools.
* Coordinating and managing the total relationship between the customer and Smurfit Westrock, working with internal management, design, customer service, plant operations, engineering, and suppliers to ensure professionalism and commitment.


Skills, attributes, and minimum qualifications:

* 3-5 years of experience in a similar sales role.
* Experience in medium/long-cycle sales of capital value, non-commodity solutions to blue-chip clients.
* Professional stature and ability to gain customer credibility.
* Logical and analytical skills to develop, structure, and present sales and negotiation arguments at all customer hierarchy levels.
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a team environment.
* Multiskilled as a salesperson, technically literate, experienced in marketing, commercially astute, and professional in communication.
* Proficient with computers and able to create professional presentations using standard office automation tools.
* Ability to work with technical matters to offer comprehensive packaging system proposals.
