The role
Office Administrator – Construction (Bandon, Cork)
A well‑established civil and utilities contractor with a head office based in Bandon is seeking an Office Administrator to join their team on a full‑time, 5‑day week basis. This role is ideal for someone with previous construction industry experience who is looking to join a busy and growing contractor supporting a range of civil and utility projects across Cork.
The successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day administration of construction projects including document control, coordination with site teams, and general office support to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the commercial and site teams
Manage project documentation, filing systems, and compliance records
Assist with timesheets, plant records, and subcontractor documentation
Coordinate communication between site teams, suppliers, and office staff
Support preparation of reports, forms, and project‑related paperwork
Assist with health & safety documentation and compliance administration
Handle general office duties including emails, calls, and scheduling
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative role within the construction industry is essential
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
High attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately
Positive attitude and willingness to support multiple teams
Ability to work full‑time, 5 days per week in the office
Salary & Benefits
€38k–€42k depending on experience
