Excel Recruitment are delighted to recruit a senior physiotherapist for a well-supported primary care team in Monaghan Town. This role offers a varied adult caseload with a strong emphasis on MSK, falls prevention, functional rehabilitation, and domiciliary physiotherapy.
You will work as a key clinical member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, helping to shape and deliver community physiotherapy services that truly make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment and intervention for adults presenting with MSK issues, chronic conditions, mobility difficulties, functional decline, and post-acute rehabilitation needs.
2. Undertake domiciliary visits where required, assessing patients in their home environments and designing functional, goal-oriented rehabilitation programmes.
3. Lead on the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with service users, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
4. Offer clinical support, guidance, and supervision to staff-grade physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students as needed.
5. Work collaboratively with GPs, public health nurses, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care pathways.
6. Contribute to service planning, audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives within the primary care team.
7. Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation in line with CORU, HSE, and local governance standards.
8. Participate in regular clinical supervision, in-service training, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements
14. BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
15. CORU registration (or eligibility).
16. Minimum three years post-qualification experience, ideally including MSK, rehabilitation, or community physiotherapy.
17. Demonstrated clinical reasoning, advanced assessment skills, and the ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
18. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
19. Experience mentoring or supervising students or junior staff is desirable.
20. Full clean driver's licence and access to a vehicle for domiciliary visits.
