We are currently looking for a site foreman to join our team in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Fully understand and apply the Safety Statement across all site operations.
Ensure compliance with HSQE policies, management systems, and statutory regulations.
Lead and monitor all on-site health & safety practices, including subcontractor activities.
Oversee the safe planning and execution of works.
Assist in preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Deliver and brief Site-Specific Safety Plans, Toolbox Talks, and Pre-Task Planning.
Ensure all personnel are inducted, aware of site rules, and documented appropriately.
Conduct regular safety inspections and complete reports as required.
Quality Assurance
Interpret and enforce quality standards based on project specifications and drawings.
Ensure works are delivered to the highest quality and rectify any defects promptly.
Secure client sign-off upon successful completion of works.
Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where required and ensure lessons learned are shared.
Environmental Compliance
Ensure all site activities comply with environmental regulations and Waste Management Permits.
Monitor works to prevent any negative environmental impact.
Planning & Coordination
Organize and oversee site labor, subcontractors, and plant/equipment use.
Contribute to short-term and lookahead programs, ensuring milestones are met.
Maximize productivity by managing resources efficiently and monitoring performance.
Liaise with project stakeholders and mentor junior staff.
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure all required permits, RAMS, and SPA documentation are prepared before works begin.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, plant/labor returns, and progress reports.
Attend and contribute to project meetings, updating Site Agent/Project Manager on progress.
Action and close out findings from internal and external inspections.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor costs daily, including labor outputs, plant use, and material management.
Track program adherence and understand financial implications of delays or overruns.
Identify and report variations, change orders, and potential claims in a timely manner.
People & Team Management
Supervise and coordinate teams to deliver works in line with plans and schedules.
Communicate clearly with crew members, subcontractors, and management.
Proactively resolve site issues and conflicts to minimize delays.
Promote a positive, safety-first culture across the site.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' construction site experience with proven delivery on similar projects in Ireland or the UK.
Strong focus on health, safety, quality, and cost management.
Completion of Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Full, clean driving license.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
