Job Title: Copernicus Marine Forecasting Lead
This role is an excellent opportunity for a talented Oceanographic Modeller to deliver modelling products for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service and engage in data collation, analysis and reporting for the Atlantic Basin Checkpoints project.
About the Role:
* We are seeking a highly skilled individual with experience in running and maintaining numerical hydrodynamic and biogeochemical models, specifically NEMO and PISCES models.
* The ideal candidate will have a third-level degree in Physical/ Biological Oceanography or a related discipline.
* Advanced IT skills are essential, including experience working in a Linux environment and proficiency in Fortran programming and scripting languages (e.g. Matlab, Python).
Responsibilities:
* Deliver modelling products for CMEMS.
* Engage in data collation, analysis and reporting for the Atlantic Basin Checkpoints project.
Qualifications:
* A degree in Physical/ Biological Oceanography or a related discipline.
* Experience in running and maintaining numerical hydrodynamic and biogeochemical models.
