As our team continues to grow, we are seeking a full-time Safer Gambling Manager to lead and strengthen our responsible gambling initiatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting player protection, and developing strategies that support a safe and responsible gaming environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of safer gambling practices, regulatory frameworks, and customer risk management, along with the ability to collaborate across teams to drive a culture of responsible gaming throughout the organisation.
The position will involve working 40 hours per week, typically over four to five days, Monday through Sunday.
Summary of the position:
We are seeking an ambitious and proactive individual who thrives both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This role will lead and support the Safer Gambling Team, driving the effective implementation and continuous improvement of our safer gambling policies, procedures, and customer protection initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to clearly convey regulatory requirements and responsible gambling obligations to both customers and senior management. They will provide strong day to day leadership and guidance to the team, guiding agents through complex cases, answering queries, and monitoring workloads to ensure that correct and consistent actions are being always taken on accounts. A key part of this role is the active management of the Safer Gambling team, ensuring high standards and a professional, empathetic and customer focused approach is maintained across all customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safer gambling policies and procedures in line with regulatory expectations
Maintain compliance with UKGC, Irish and Gibraltar frameworks, and other applicable regulatory bodies
Drive continuous improvement of safer gambling controls including but not limited to reviewing affordability, behavioural, and financial risk indicators
Analyse player data to identify risk patterns and recommend preventative measures
Handle and respond to written customer complaints relating to safer gambling and responsible gaming concerns in line with regulatory and internal policy requirements
Maintain a hands‑on management style, actively supporting Team Leaders and Agents with complex customer profiles, compliance or safer gambling concerns, and regulatory cases.
Organise and prioritise team workloads to meet KPIs and service level agreements.
Receive quality assurance results from the Quality team and, together with Team Leaders, deliver timely and constructive feedback directly to agents
Oversee regular 1:1s, performance reviews, quality assurance reviews, and development planning with the support from team leaders.
Support onboarding and continuous training of team members on safer gambling procedures and regulatory expectations
Support audits, regulatory reviews, and licensing requirements
Stay up to date with regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks
Education and Experience Required:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role, preferably in the gaming or financial sector.
Proven experience in a management or leadership position within UK gambling industry in a compliance or Safer Gambling role.
Strong understanding of UKGC regulations, guidance and expectations and industry best practices.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability, integrity, and trust.
Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, with the ability to assess risk and apply sound judgment.
High level of integrity, accountability, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Recognised relevant qualification is desirable; the company will support further certification if required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in fluent English.
