Role Summary:

The role of Life Style Sports Senior Merchandiser is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual to join a focused team in a fast paced and rewarding environment. As a Life Style Sports Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for the merchandising of your concept, leading the planning and buying process, management of stocks and product intake, maximising profitability based on the achievement of business KPI's and supporting the Buying & Merchandising team in driving and increasing sales and margin for your areas and developing junior team members. You will have an eye for detail and bring new ideas to the buying and merchandising process.

Role Responsibilities:

Open to Buy Process

* Play a crucial role in working with our Buying Teams to determine future Buying Strategies based on detailed range analytics for each area.
* Manage the planning documents for Quarterly Net Sales & Margin and reforecasting on a regular basis for multiple Hierarchy levels
* Manage the planning of Quarterly OTB Budgets based on future sales estimates for multiple Hierarchy levels.
* Manage the planning of Markdown Budgets for each area.
* Space / Options Planning for each Hierarchy level - Analysing product sales with the buying team to ensure the most efficient use of space in store each Season.
* Present OTB Summaries and forward sales plans at a Business and Hierarchy level at quarterly Brand sign offs.
* Cross Concept Reporting.

Stock Management

* Management of company stock position through monitoring intake and cancellations to achieve company profitability targets.
* Control of order books and future commitment in conjunction with business targets.
* Management of in season stock commitments based on current sales trends.
* Managing weekly and seasonal price events and promotions.

Other

* Developing and maintaining good relationships with our third-party logistics partner, brands and internal stakeholders.
* Presenting in high level meetings with an ability to provide insights into trade and strategy.
* Developing team members.
* Working with Supply Chain & Inventory Team on store grading and replenishment models.
* Production of ad hoc sales analysis to support business decision making.
* Preparation & distribution of core business reports.
* Work closely with the IT function making recommendations on future reporting and system upgrades.
* Regularly visit stores to receive feedback on opportunities to drive sales.
* Management and development of junior members of the merchandising team.

Key Requirements:

* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Fashion or Sports Retail Omni-Channel Environment
* Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., D365) BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and Microsoft Office.
* Strong numeric, data/analytical, financial, and organisational skills.
* Experience in use of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.

* Determined, focused and solutions oriented to drive improvements in business processes across multiple functions.
* Highly organised, can work to tight deadlines and under time pressure
