Role OverviewWe are seeking a Quality Control Officer to support food safety, quality, and compliance within a raw-to-cooked meat processing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are safe, compliant, and produced to the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure strict segregation between raw and cooked areasCarry out in-process quality checks (weights, metal detection, cooking and chilling)Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs), including cooking, cooling, and metal detectionPerform final product checks prior to releaseConduct microbiological samplingCoordinate external laboratory testing and review resultsVerify production quality records and checksCarry out hygiene and pre-operational checksIdentify and report non-conformances and support corrective actionsPerform internal auditsProvide training to staffSupport audits and regulatory inspectionsUndertake additional quality-related responsibilities as required to support the business and role developmentIdeal CandidateExperience working in a high-risk or cooked food environment (desirable)Experience in food manufacturing or meat processingStrong knowledge of HACCP and food safety controlsComfortable working on the factory floorHigh attention to detail with strong documentation skillsStrong communication skillsStrong computer skillsHigh level of spoken and written EnglishOwn transport required due to remote locationSalary & BenefitsSalary dependent on experiencePension scheme availableContinuous training and developmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingWork Location: In person
