Community Care Support Officer Role:The purpose of this role is to support care in the community by assisting both the Care Coordination Team, the Scheduling Team and the Quality, Health and Safety Officer. This is an opportunity for experienced HSWs to develop additional skills in relation to supervision and quality management andto gain a wider experience of the workings of Dublin Home Support while maintaining their Care Skills. To report any concerns to the Quality Health and Safety Officer/Care Manager/relevant Coordinator. TocarryoutHSWstaffintroductionswithnewclients. TosupportHSWshadowingandbeapointofcontactforthesupportofnewHSWstaff within working hours. RapidResponse-Toundertakeemergencycovercalls-includingsickleave-andtemporarily fillingnewhomecarepackages/hospitaldischargeswithinworkinghours. SupportandassistwithCareTeamdevelopment-includingconductingSpotChecksand somementoring. Delivering and checking Client Care books for compliance and collecting/replacing log sheets. DeliveryofCareSupportPlansandPPEtoHSWsandserviceusersasrequired. Otherdutiesasmayberequiredtosupportdeliveryofqualitycarewithinthecommunity. Office: Community Support Officers will spend three hours each week in the office. What we offer: The two successful CSOs will alternate their working weeks, which will comprise of a good balance of early and late shifts and every second weekend off. Monday-Friday EarlyShift:14:0019:30 LateShift:16:0021:30 WeekendShifts:Either08:00 20:00or 09:00 -21:00asagreed,accordingtobusinessneeds.(Everysecondweekendoff) Office Shift:Threehoursperweektoplanvisits,interactwithofficeteamandsubmit/file weeklypaperwork. Overthetwoweeks72hoursareworked=a36.5-houraverageworkingweek. Asthisroleisandextremelyimportantandessentiallylinkedtoapartner,thesuccessful candidatewillhavetohaveprovenreliabilityintermsofpunctualityandattendanceat work. Thesuccessfulcandidatewillneedtohaveowntransportandbeabletotravelacrossthe whole service catchment area of Finglas, Cabra and Drumcondra as needs require.
