Civil Project Manager Role Summary
The Civil Project Manager is a key leadership position within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with established health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Liaise with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure that all project requirements are met.
* Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress, including financials, timelines, and quality metrics.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to project team members.
* Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
* Coordinate with procurement teams to secure necessary materials, services, and labor.
* Manage project budgets, forecast revenue, and track expenses to ensure profitable project delivery.
* Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication, collaboration, and teamwork among project team members.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
* Proven track record of delivering complex civil engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Extensive knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation an asset.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
