About the role
The Intelligent Automation Lead will be responsible for defining, driving, and executing Inizio's automation strategy across IT and our core business applications.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, this role will identify high-value automation opportunities, design scalable intelligent automation solutions, and guide cross-functional teams in implementing modern automation capabilities.
This position requires hands-on expertise in RPA, AI-based automation, Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, and related intelligent automation tools, with a strong track record of applying automation in Finance Shared Services or similar business operations.
This position is ideal for someone with strong business acumen, deep understanding of intelligent automation tools and hands-on experience managing automation initiatives from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Automation Roadmap
Lead the development and continuous evolution of the enterprise automation strategy aligned to architectural standards and business goals.
Partner with the Head of Enterprise Architecture to define governance, best practices, and technical standards for intelligent automation.
Evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and trends to ensure the automation ecosystem remains modern, secure, and scalable.
Opportunity Identification & Analysis
Work with business leaders, process owners, and IT teams to identify and prioritise automation use cases across Finance & HR Shared Services and other business functions.
Conduct feasibility assessments, ROI analysis, and process diagnostics to ensure strong value delivery.
Maintain an automation pipeline and portfolio, ensuring transparency and alignment with business priorities.
Solution Design & Delivery
Design end-to-end automation solutions using RPA, AI/ML, Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, and orchestration tools.
Oversee and support the development, testing, and deployment of automated workflows.
Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
Act as the key liaison between IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption of automation solutions.
Provide training, guidance, and knowledge-sharing to business teams on automation capabilities and citizen development models.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and digital enablement.
Operations, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Establish and maintain monitoring, support, and lifecycle management for automation solutions.
Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of automation issues.
Identify opportunities to enhance performance, stability, and scalability of automation platforms.
About you
Proven experience leading automation initiatives within enterprise environments.
Hands-on expertise with RPA platforms (UiPath preferred), Microsoft Power Automate, and AI / intelligent automation techniques.
Strong understanding of automation patterns and their application in Finance Shared Services (e.g., AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, reporting).
Experience integrating automation solutions with ERP systems, business applications, and data platforms.
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles, system design, and IT governance.
Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in process automation.
3+ years' experience leading automation or digital transformation initiatives.
Exposure to process mining and task mining tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining).
Continuous improvement mindset (Lean Six Sigma certification a plus).
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
