As trusted advisors, we help support complex business transactions with insights and recommendations that influence decisions made by stakeholders and senior leaders. Our team takes pride in driving operational excellence, best practices, and optimum results which contribute to business growth and exceptional customer and team member experiences.As the Manager Taxation, you will be an integral part of the TELUS Digital Tax team supporting the various entities of TELUS Digital in over 30 countries. You will participate in the development of income strategies to improve operational efficiencies, ensure compliance with tax laws and support tax audits. You will monitor income tax developments and implement changes to ensure timely compliance with new legislation. Reporting to the Director Taxation, the Manager Taxation will support all aspects of income tax planning, compliance and income tax provisioning (tax accounting) for TELUS Digital in various European and other jurisdictions.Essential Responsibilities:In support of consolidated financial reporting for a publically traded companyReview of corporate income tax returns for various European and other jurisdictions, ensure corporate income tax returns are timely filed; monitor corporate income tax instalments and tax paymentsEnsuring compliance with internal controls related to tax compliance and reporting, including Sarbanes Oxley complianceEnsuring processes for tax compliance related to cross-border transaction flows including withholding tax compliance, treaty-based issues, etc. (e.g. confirmation of entitlement to treaty benefits etc.)Monitor and manage tax audits in various jurisdictionsTax risk mitigationActively support systems implementation and other projects with a view to streamlining and automating processes, improving efficiencies and optimizing taxation outcomesComfortable with or enthusiastically willing to learn new technology platforms and evolving automated intelligence technologies such as prompt engineering with Generative Artificial Intelligence software, e.g. Chat-GPTEducation And ExperienceA Professional Accounting designation is an asset5 - 7 years of tax experience, multinational environment is an assetWell organized and able to prioritize tasks and work on multiple files / projectsProficiency is working with Microsoft 365 and Google WorkspaceSelf-starter, motivated and able to work independentlyExperience in managing projects, ability to work collaboratively with othersLanguage – English; other languages would be an assetExcellent written and oral communication skillsLocation:Remote - IrelandTELUS Digital Values:TELUS Digital recognizes and embraces the importance of values in our ever-changing workplace.
