Company Description
Founded in 1908, the Classical Association of Ireland is dedicated to promoting the study of Greece, Rome, and the ancient Mediterranean in Ireland. The organization publishes the academic journal
Classics Ireland
and hosts engaging lectures, site visits, and activities through its branches in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick. It provides a platform for individuals to deepen their appreciation of classical studies and sometimes offers opportunities for group readings of Latin and Greek.
The Association wishes to appoint a new honorary Membership Secretary, initially for a period of three years.
Applicants should have:
· A good working knowledge of Excel (for the upkeep of the membership database)
· good email communication skills
· familiarity with the activities and organisation of the Association
Duties include:
· maintenance of the membership list
· processing of new members during the year
· communications to members, including renewal reminders at the start of each year
The Membership Secretary is automatically a member of the Classical Association of Ireland Central Council, which meets three times a year.
