Liability Claims Specialist
Role Overview:
The role of Liability Claims Specialist involves managing a portfolio of liability claims for self-insured clients, ensuring efficient resolution and cost containment.
Responsibilities include developing and nurturing relationships with key clients, coordinating discussions and meetings to ensure superior communication between the client and underwriter, and attending Circuit and High Court sessions.
The specialist will collaborate with Aon Account Brokers on renewal negotiations, policy coverage, large losses etc. and create and execute financial reports to supervise claims management performance and identify market opportunities for client growth.
By liaising with internal and external stakeholders, the specialist will deploy resources effectively to optimise claim outcomes and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 5-10 years relevant claims handler experience, handling large portfolios including liability personal injury claims. You should also possess strong analytical skills, an ability to prioritise effectively and complete tasks within deadlines, excellent IT skills (fully proficient in Microsoft applications), strong planning and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Additionally, you should have a minimum CIP qualification ideally with a view to progressing towards the MDI/ACII qualification. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is essential, as is the ability to respond to change and learning opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
