Public Works Construction Project Manager Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced construction project manager to oversee the delivery of a public works project in County Tipperary.
1. This is a leadership opportunity to manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, supervise contractors and direct labour to ensure efficient workflow.
2. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with construction drawings, specifications and public procurement standards.
3. They will implement and maintain robust health, safety and environmental practices and liaise with project managers, local authorities, design teams and stakeholders.
4. The role requires strong communication, leadership and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple workstreams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities
* Supervise contractors and direct labour to ensure efficient workflow
* Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specifications and public procurement standards
* Implement and maintain robust health, safety and environmental practices
* Liaise with project managers, local authorities, design teams and stakeholders
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar supervisory role on civil or public works projects
* Relevant construction or engineering qualification (e.g. Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management)
* Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations, health and safety legislation and local authority compliance
* Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and contractors
* Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
