Project Engineers are responsible for leading engineering teams that design and implement customer automation projects. Project engineers take a comprehensive approach to solving problems, learning the details of each project’s mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

Responsibilities
* Owns and leads the technical aspects of projects with small to medium sized teams
* Assists Project Manager in identifying changes in project scope and developing change orders
* Translates functional requirements to system configuration
* Designs control system network architectures and control strategies
* Serves as a technical contact for customers
* Programs controllers and configures automation equipment
* Selects automation equipment and instrumentation
* Designs electrical control cabinets and panels with support from CAD technicians
* Tests the system configuration to verify functions
* Travels to client site for project meetings and system verification.

* Thorough understanding of control system design and coding
* Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)
* Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS)
o Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer or Engineering Technology or related degree
* 3+ years of experience in automation
* As a minimum, you must be proficient on one or more of the following platforms:
o Inductive Automation Ignition
o Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PlantPAx, or FactoryTalk
o Emerson DeltaV
o Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure, PowerSCADA, Power Monitoring Expert (PME)
o National Instruments LabVIEW
o Siemens S7, PCS7, or WinCC
o Or similar IT, automation, or MES platform
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ Years in project management, including project financials
* 2+ Years leading technical projects and engineering teams
