Kitchen Assistant – Full TimeLocation: Moxy Dublin Docklands, East Wharf, Dublin 3Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor / Operations Manager / General ManagerDepartment: Food & BeverageMain Purpose of the RoleTo support the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen and food service areas, ensuring cleanliness, compliance with food safety standards, and timely preparation of ingredients. The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining Moxy brand standards and delivering a vibrant guest experience.Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & SupportAssist with basic food prep: washing, peeling, chopping ingredients.Portion meats, slice produce, and prepare simple dishes under supervision.Set up and restock food stations and storage areas.Hygiene & SafetyMaintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.Follow HACCP protocols for food handling, storage, and allergen management.Conduct and record fridge/freezer temperature checks and cleaning schedules.Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.Stock & DeliveriesReceive and organise food deliveries, checking quality and traceability.Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock to maintain freshness.ComplianceAdhere to health and safety regulations, including manual handling and fire safety.Support documentation for audits and inspections.Respond to food safety incidents or guest complaints following escalation procedures.Teamwork & CultureAttend daily briefings and contribute to a fun, inclusive work environment.Collaborate with kitchen, front office, and accommodation teams as needed.Uphold Moxy's "Play On" philosophy and brand values.Skills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and cleanliness.Good time management and organisational skills.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Team player with a positive attitude.Basic culinary knowledge is a plus but not required.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 39 per weekWork Location: In person
