Job Title: Rehabilitation Officer Based: Cork area: Working in the community and in Ballincollig/Mallow/Cobh Day Services as required. Office base Ballincollig Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week, Mon-Fri) Contract: 1-year fixed term contract Primary Responsibilities: 1.0 Service Delivery Work on behalf of Headway as a member of the Day Rehabilitation Services Team. Work with and support individual clients on a one-to-one basis in the community. To include PA support and community integration activities in line with agreed objectives. 1.3 Contribute to provision of services to clients with ABI, with the support of Rehabilitation Day Services Manager and Officers, and receive training and experience in programme planning, implementation, and evaluation. 1.4 Act as a key worker to specific clients in line with the Headway service model. 1.5 Facilitate both one to one and group activities with clients, offering assistance and support as required, and participate in the creative development of activities. 1.6 Facilitate and support the work of interdisciplinary teams with the support of Rehabilitation Day Services Officers/Manager, liaising with other professionals and family members regularly to ensure clients needs are met. 1.7 Take responsibility for the needs of clients in line with relevant health and safety legislation and Headway policy/procedure. To include: Take responsibility for the physical care of clients as required (including assistance with toileting needs). Assist with the reception and departure of clients in Day Services centre. Administer first aid if qualified to do so (at a level appropriate to post holders training and ability). Maintain a safe and pleasant environment at all times 1.8 Undertake an equitable share of all general duties at the Rehabilitation Day Service locations to support the efficient running of the activity programmes (e.g. clearing up before and after activities, tea making etc., and any other duties that may be required). 1.9 Transport clients in the community as required. 1.10 Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures. 2.0 Administration and Policy 2.1 Facilitate and support the work of the Rehabilitation Team. 2.2 Keep up to date with all general administration duties as required. 2.3 Maintain up to date documentation and reports in line with departmental policies and procedures, keeping Rehabilitation Day Services Manager updated at all times. 2.4 Provide statistics and records of work as appropriate. 2.5 Follow and adhere to all Headway policies and procedures.
