BMS Engineer – Pharmaceutical Projects (Dublin)

Overview
An established building automation and controls specialist is seeking an experienced Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer to support major pharmaceutical projects in the Dublin region.
The role involves delivering BMS solutions within highly regulated GMP environments.
Strong experience with Trend BMS systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and commission BMS solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities
Program and deliver Trend BMS systems including controllers, networks, graphics, alarms, and trends
Integrate BMS with HVAC plant and systems such as AHUs, chillers, boilers, cleanrooms, and utilities
Work within GMP-regulated environments, ensuring compliance with project and quality requirements
Develop and review control philosophies, functional design specifications (FDS), and I/O schedules
Support FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities
Liaise with project managers, clients, consultants, and third‑party vendors
Provide fault‑finding, optimisation, and post‑handover support
Complete project documentation in line with quality and validation requirements
Requirements
Degree, trade qualification, or equivalent experience in Building Services, Electrical, Automation, or a related discipline
Proven experience as a BMS Engineer on pharmaceutical or life sciences projects
Hands‑on experience with Trend BMS platforms (mandatory)
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services controls
Experience working in GMP or other regulated environments
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a project delivery team
Full right to work in Ireland
Experience delivering BMS solutions for large‑scale pharmaceutical campuses
Integration experience with PLCs, SCADA, or energy management systems
Familiarity with validation support activities (IQ/OQ)
