The Role:

The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.

The Workflow Functional Area is responsible for the management and monitoring of all outdoor work through the full work order lifecycle from planning to closure. This includes overseeing the initiation, dispatch and progression of work orders, processing of service requests, allocating adequate resources, identification of bundling opportunities, identification of work pre-requisites, creation of work orders to be progressed and dispatched to the field, the management of the logistics and stores to enable effective and efficient inventory control, Outage notification & processing and complaint resolution.

Reporting tothe Workflow Support & Development Supervisor, the Workflow Support & Development Coordinatorwill work closely with counterparts from Local Authorities, Uisce Éireann, and 3rd parties,supporting the delivery of strong working relationships, in order to deliver all business development and change initiatives impacting Workflow and the wider Asset Operations function to their allocated region.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and foster strong day to day working relationships with Local Authorities (LAs) (e.g. office, field, trainer staff); maintaining a network of contacts with LAs in assigned area with a view to providing information (e.g. work programmes, reports, training) and feedback, addressing and resolving issues; communicating changes and other requirements as they arise
* Act as key Workflow point of contact for a cohort of Local Authorities and trainers in the assigned area – receive, process and reply to such queries, questions and requests as arise (e.g. work management, KPIs, development, process, system functionality for end trainers/users, and IT support)
* Provide such support, development and liaison as required (e.g. system/device training support both material & delivery- for project rollouts & ongoing BAU work processes) to ensure Local Authority staff/system end users are proficient and comfortable with Workflow systems, process and requirements
* Identify opportunities to improve work management processes, relationships and procedures to effectively serve the business
* Co-ordinate and attend regular meetings with LA and UÉ stakeholders
* Support and work closely with the Field Force Trainers
* Develop and foster strong working relationships with wider Uisce Éireann key stakeholders including Regional Offices, Business Units, Project Teams, Change Management and Business Partners
* Act as key Workflow point of contact for work management support and issue resolution needs (e.g. UAT Testing for systems/devices/apps/training material).
* Understand and contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Workflow function and overall departmental business plans.
* Take responsibility for the various initiatives within Business Support and Development
* Support the efficient on-going delivery of the enduring WAM solution
* Proactively identify and drive improvements in quality and other relevant areas within Workflow
* Develop and maintain all Workflow systems, process training materials, and complete various communication in relation to Workflow processes
* Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Workflow function and overall Asset Operations business plans
* Raise risks and issues as appropriate to the BS&D Supervisor
* Perform other such duties as required

General Duties and Responsibilitie

* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
* Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
* Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
* Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Relevantthird level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
* A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience required. Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
* Strong technical experience using work management systems (e.g. Maximo & work management handheld devices)
* Proactive, with ability to work on own initiative and with others to ensure success in the performance of a team
* Travel will be required -Full, clean and valid Irish category B driving licence is minimum requirement. A clean driving licence is defined as meaning that the applicant has not been convicted of an offence under the Road Traffic Acts (other than an offence for which the penalty is the imposition of penalty points)
* Proven effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused
* We work better together - proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner
* Strong Computer skills with a proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Ability to set up ongoing processes and procedures to collect and review information
* Flexible with regard to working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work structures, processes and requirements as necessary
