We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our dedicated team based in Cork. This is a long-term, stable opportunity with genuine potential for advancement into a Team Leader position. In this role, you'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a range of heavy-duty Plant. You'll also play a key part in supporting the team by coordinating maintenance schedules and ensuring accurate digital records are maintained.
Your new role
* Perform regular maintenance, servicing, and safety checks on heavy plant equipment
* Identify mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs
* Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance schedules across the team
* Record inspection results and maintenance activities using internal systems
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards and regulations
* Collaborate with team members and support general mechanical tasks as needed
What you'll need to succeed
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fitting for plant, HGVs, or industrial machinery
* Skilled in diagnosing faults and performing repairs on HGVs, forklifts, excavators, and other heavy equipment
* Proficient in using digital systems to maintain and update service records
* Self-motivated, dependable, and an effective team collaborator
* Experience in a supervisory or mentoring capacity is advantageous.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance or a related discipline (preferred)
