Job Description
This role is part of the Compliance Department, supporting compliance of European markets. The team assists in overseeing business and contributing to wider central activities, initiatives and projects, reporting compliance matters internally and externally.
The Opportunity
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting business development and protecting against sanctions, fines and reputational damage. They help ensure that businesses are conducted in compliance with ethical practices, policies, legal and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support partners in designing and executing business growth activities in line with compliance requirements.
* Embed the Compliance Risk Management Framework and support execution of Non-Financial Risk Assessment roll-out/campaigns.
* Plan and perform risk-based testing and monitoring activities.
* Oversee compliance issues management and ensure proper intervention in case of breaches or fraudulent activity.
* Facilitate regulatory returns, reporting or applications as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience working within Compliance/internal control-related areas for at least 3 years. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial services businesses, especially insurance business. Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
University degree and appropriate professional qualifications (or working towards). Business acumen and commercial awareness. Influencing and gaining commitment. Flexible and adaptable style. Ability to demonstrate Success principles in day-to-day job and operate in line with MetLifes New Frontier strategy.
