Job Overview:
To oversee the daily operations of a catering service, delivering high-quality food and beverage services to clients.
* Supervise all catering operations on site, ensuring standards of quality, presentation, and service.
* Lead and manage the catering team, including staffing, training, and performance management.
* Maintain control over costs, stock levels, and financial targets.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies.
* Develop menus in collaboration with the client and culinary team, ensuring variety, nutrition, and customer satisfaction.
* Build strong relationships with clients and other service managers on-site.
* Conduct regular quality checks, audits, and customer feedback assessments to maintain standards and improve service.
* Support initiatives around sustainability, food waste reduction, and healthy eating.
* Train staff on allergens, food safety, and operational procedures.
* Handle customer queries, complaints, and special dietary requests professionally.
* Proven experience as a Catering or Hospitality Manager, preferably in a facilities or contract catering environment.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* A solid understanding of food hygiene standards (Level 3 Food Safety qualification preferred).
* Good knowledge of budget management and financial controls.
* Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
