About the Role
FLY4 Airlines is seeking a Flight Operations Standards Manager to join our team.
This non-flying role is ideal for experienced pilots or operations professionals who want to apply their expertise in a regulatory, procedural, and compliance-focused capacity.
In this role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all flight operations under FLY4 Airlines' AOC.
You will oversee operational documentation, maintain and improve procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
You will coordinate with internal teams including Training, Maintenance, Safety, and Compliance and liaise with regulatory authorities, helping to standardise processes across the fleet and support continuous improvement initiatives.
We welcome candidates with an ATPL and a type rating (active or expired), who have experience as a Captain or First Officer.
This role provides an opportunity to apply flight experience in an operational support capacity, without the need for current line flying or an active medical.
It is ideally suited to professionals who enjoy developing and maintaining operational standards, improving processes, and supporting compliance and safety initiatives, with a strong understanding of aircraft systems, operational procedures, and fleet management being highly valued.
In this position, you will play a central role in ensuring FLY4 Airlines' flight operations are safe, reliable, and efficient.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and coordinate flight operational documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Define and support operational standards and practices, ensuring alignment with EASA regulations and directives.
Develop and improve our documentation system to meet FLY4's operational needs.
Coordinate processes, standards, and responsibilities within fleet management.
Manage, edit, and publish Operations Manuals (OM-A, OM-B, OM-C).
Support compliance with airworthiness directives alongside the Flight Operations Technical Manager.
Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of fleet-related procedures.
Act as a liaison between Flight Operations and Compliance Monitoring, Safety, and Security Management teams.
Maintain communication with relevant authorities and official institutions.
Coordinate applications for operational approvals with regulatory authorities.
Analyse, evaluate, categorise, and monitor aerodromes.
Collaborate with internal departments and external institutions on documentation, procedure development, process management, and standardisation.
Lead and support flight operations projects, including IOSA audits.
Monitor services delivered to Flight Operations by external providers.

Be prepared to respond in a crisis as an ERP representative, if required by the role.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
ATPL with type rating (active or expired) – suitable for professionals not currently flying or without an active medical.
Substantial line operations experience as Captain or First Officer.
Proven knowledge of EASA Air OPS, ORO, CAT, and FTL regulations.
Significant experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS), compliance monitoring.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, including experience with tools such as Web Manuals, Centrik, and MS Office.
Excellent coordination and communication skills across multiple teams.
English ICAO Level 4 or above.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Experience in airline operations support, regulatory compliance, or fleet management.
Exposure to project management, operational improvement initiatives, or audits (e.g., IOSA).
Familiarity with aviation safety, risk assessment, and hazard reporting.
Knowledge of aerodrome evaluation, operational procedures, and working with external providers or authorities.
Additional type ratings or qualifications in aviation safety, quality management, or compliance monitoring.
Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, analytical, and reporting skills.
Flexibility to travel and work outside of normal hours, when required to accommodate operational requirements and emergencies.
