Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Technician to join our busy Finance Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing bookkeeping support and preparing year-end accounts and financial statements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Annual Accounts Preparation: Assist in preparing annual accounts for small companies, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
* VAT Returns Submission: Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns and submit accounts to Companies House.
* Cash Book Management: Maintain accurate cash book postings, monthly bank reconciliations, and sales ledger management including debtor statement reconciliations.
* Filing System Maintenance: Ensure accurate filing systems for invoices/statements.
* General Accounts and Banking Duties: Assist with general accounts and banking duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* A minimum of 1 year's experience in a busy finance department.
* Be Qualified or Part-Qualified Accounts Technician (AAT or IATI).
* Previous experience in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
* Desirable: Previous experience in SAGE Accounts Production.
